We discovered, when burrowing through the data, that there was a clear difference between the two largest types of business that exist. When musing between an Operational or Service business perhaps you should pay heed to the power of probability and travel the road most likely to result in profit and longevity (note: for this comparison we defined ‘success’ as when sales regularly exceed costs).
In other words a Service business is 11% more likely to succeed, and 9% less likely to fail. If you’re rolling the dice I know which one I would pick, I’m just glad that Jeff Bezos didn’t follow this advice!
